Andrew Mills

Andrew Mills - Managing Director

Andrew joined Servelec Controls as Managing Director of the company’s Oil & Gas business in June 2016 following a successful 13 years with Assystem, where he was responsible for managing five sites in the UK supporting oil and gas, nuclear and power generation industries.

Andrew is now responsible for the strategic direction of Servelec Controls and leadership of its operations in Sheffield, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Warrington. His extensive knowledge of the energy and infrastructure markets and business development skills are put to use nurturing existing and building new client relationships.

 Ronald Holden

Ronald Holden - Divisional Director

Ronald has over 35 years of experience in the use of control systems and real-time IT to deliver innovative solutions in the Oil & Gas and Nuclear industries. His early career was in the field of ultrasonic inspection systems for oil and gas pipelines.

Based in Aberdeen, Ronald oversees the Company’s growing Real-time Information Systems and Service & Support operations, working closely with clients to deploy solutions and services that deliver value to their owners.

 Chris Stones  

Chris Stones - Sales Director, Oil & Gas

Chris has over 17 years’ experience in the UK oil, gas and power sectors. Having started his career in the marine industry as an electrical and electronic engineering apprentice, Chris quickly progressed into client-facing roles thanks to a natural ability to determine and develop the best solution to solve customers’ needs.

Chris joined Servelec Controls in 2011, and as Sales Director is now responsible for the development and implementation of the business’ oil and gas market strategy and ensuring that Servelec Controls maintains its position as the UK’s leading independent system integrator by putting clients first.

 Bryn Thomas

Bryn Thomas - Sales Director, Power and Infrastructure

Bryn has over 30 years’ experience working across a broad range of industrial sectors including Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Nuclear and Conventional Power. With a strong engineering background, and formal training in manufacturing, he has held directorship positions in Engineering and Programme Delivery, and had P&L responsibility for Business Operations.

Bryn is now responsible for defining and implementing the sales strategy to achieve sustainable growth within the Power and Infrastructure sectors for Servelec Controls, whilst offering clients solutions that help to grow their own business.

Dave Kirby - General Manager, Power & Infrastructure

Dave has over 25 years of experience in the delivery of major business change for utilities, power and nuclear customers through the delivery of complex IT and control and automation systems integration projects. Dave’s skillset spans project management, operational IT and real-time monitoring solutions, project management, consultancy and change management.

Following eight years of energy sector consultancy with Accenture and 11 years heading up delivery of services to Capula’s power generation and water clients, Dave joined Servelec Controls as General Manager in 2015. Based in Birchwood Park, Warrington, Dave oversees the company’s operations in the power and infrastructure sectors from Warrington and Glasgow, ensuring the highest standards of contract and service delivery on behalf of our clients.

Craig Harrad - Financial Controller

Craig started his career in finance as a sales ledger clerk, working his way up through various different roles at Aviva, Denby and Babcock to gain a broad experience of the finance function. CIMA qualified, Craig joined Servelec Controls in May 2017 as Management Accountant and was promoted to Financial Controller in April 2018.

Craig is responsible for Servelec Controls’ finances, delivering meaningful management information to help define business decisions and driving efficiency and effectiveness in order to optimise the company’s financial performance and strategic position.

Tim MacLaren - Service Delivery Manager

Tim runs Servelec Controls’ Service Hub, which he pioneered in 2016, continuing to provide a managed 24/7/365 support service to all clients across the UK. His leadership and team-working skills stem from a 12 year service with Police Scotland, where he gained operational experience in a variety of roles from Community Policing, Emergency Response and Crisis Management, to Control Room and Roads Policing, before joining Servelec Controls is 2013. He also holds a computing-related BSc degree and an ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) Level 3 Diploma for Managers.

Tim and his team work closely with all our customers companywide and at all levels, continuously improving both our levels of service and the safety and productivity of our clients’ systems.

Graham Richmond - Quality & Safety Manager

Graham’s wealth of experience implementing and maintaining quality and health and safety standards has resulted from his extensive 27 year career in the Royal Navy, initially within the aircraft engineering environment and then as the Quality, Health and Safety Manager for the Harrier Jump Jet  frontline fleet in the UK and overseas. Following a period of employment in the manufacturing and construction sectors, where quality, environment and health and safety standards are paramount, Graham joined Servelec Controls in August 2014.

Graham is NEBOSH qualified in OH&S and Environmental and is a Lead Auditor in ISO 9001, 18001 and 14001. As the competent advisor on health and safety matters, Graham is responsible for implementing and maintaining Servelec Controls’ Quality, Health and Safety & Environment Management Systems and ensuring that the highest standards are communicated throughout the company and maintained at all times.

Paul Mosley – Manufacturing Manager

Paul has over 36 years’ experience in the manufacture of control systems having started his engineering career with the merchant marine, working on and often running the engine rooms of large ocean-going cargo ships.

Paul has been a valued member of the Servelec Controls team for over 30 years and for the last 20 has managed the company’s workshop in Eckington, producing robust control panels for clients in a range of industries from oil and gas to nuclear. By working closely with the engineering teams, offering support and design assistance whenever needed, Paul is responsible for ensuring that all manufacture is carried out safely, to the specified quality, on time and in accordance with the company’s high standards.


Kelly Ward – Head of HR

CIPD Level 7 qualified, Kelly built her HR career within various manufacturing and engineering organisations where she led on prudent recruitment and talent development initiatives, with more recent focus on various change management projects.

Kelly now heads up Servelec Controls’ HR activity with the goal of delivering positive people management practices and HR Strategy, in order to build and empower a highly skilled and motivated workforce to deliver the best possible service to our clients.

Salvatore di Fazio - Head of Commercial

Salvatore is a dual qualified solicitor with 14 years of national and international legal experience. After specialising in commercial law with a specific focus on IT and IP contracts he joined a private practice in Italy before moving to England to work in-house in the telecommunications industry.

Salvatore is now responsible for the overall provision of commercial and contractual support to Servelec Controls. As well as providing commercial and risk advice, guidance and training, he ensures that all client contracting activities are carried out in accordance with company policy and legislation.

Stephanie Windmill - Head of Marketing

Stephanie is fully CIM qualified and has over 13 years Marketing and PR experience gained predominantly in the bespoke engineering, electrical wholesale and industrial service sectors. Her career has been built on understanding and meeting the needs of clients in a variety of industries including nuclear, defence, construction and manufacturing.

Stephanie is responsible for Servelec Controls’ marketing communications strategy, focused on company reputation, aligning brand values with client requirements and ensuring that potential customers are provided with meaningful information to help them make confident decisions about how Servelec Controls’ services can benefit their business.



Servelec was established in 1977 to provide control systems to the Sheffield steel industry and quickly moved into the rapidly expanding UK oil and gas sector. The business began to service onshore and offshore assets on the UK Continental Shelf and in 1985 opened an office in Aberdeen.
