Servelec Controls was originally formed in 1977 to provide control systems to the Sheffield steel industry, quickly moving into the rapidly expanding UK Oil & Gas sector. The business began to service onshore and offshore assets on the UK Continental Shelf and in 1985 opened an office in Aberdeen. As the business continued to grow, a new nuclear office was opened in 2012 in Warrington, at the heart of the UK’s nuclear industry, with a focus on developing the capabilities for nuclear safety. In the same year Servelec was awarded an MOD contract for the nuclear submarine base at Faslane.

Today the business is one of the leading systems integrators in the UK, with four offices, 150 staff and an international presence in more than a dozen countries.
