Servelec Controls, an independent integrator of mission critical control and safety systems has, for a third year running, improved on their Achilles audit report. Achilles is a community for the UK utilities industry. It enables the industry to use Achilles’ pre-qualification system to manage risk within the supply chain and comply with EU regulations.

Servelec Controls achieved 94% for Management System Evaluation (MSE) and 100% on Site Performance. This is an amalgamation of health and safety, environment, quality and corporate social responsibility. The audit helps to reduce overheads in the procurement process, increase credibility and gain competitive advantage.

This outstanding recognition from Achilles shows that the hard work from the team at Servelec Controls is making a difference. We are continuously progressing in our Quality, Health & Safety and Environment Management systems with the vision of enhancing our contributions to the clients supply chain.

Graham Richmond, Quality & Safety Manager at our Eckington office said: “Over the last three years, the safety and compliance team at Servelec Controls has developed and implemented many improvements to the safety culture shown in our recent outstanding Achilles audit results. Safety is paramount here at Servelec Controls; all of the team are aware of the hazards within our area and our clients’ workplace, and all staff know that they have a big part to play in maintaining the safe working environment for everyone. We are proud of our impeccable safety record, with just the one lost-time accident this decade.”

The industry-recognised certificate from Achilles UVDB means that Servelec Controls can continue to play their part in maintaining the drive for the further improvements to existing management systems.
