Stuart Harrison joins Servelec Controls

Servelec Controls has further strengthened its Power & Nuclear team with the addition of a new Account Director.

This new position will focus on the nuclear market, enabling existing members of the management team to drive further market share growth in the energy market following significant contract wins.

Stuart Harrison has 24 years’ experience in the nuclear industry, having most recently been Business Development Director at the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre in Rotherham.

Stuart, a graduate in Physics from Imperial College, started his early career with asset owners British Nuclear Fuels Ltd, UKAEA and GSE Systems. Since 2007 he has worked in executive business development positions to successfully grow supply chain companies with nuclear clients. In his role at the Nuclear AMRC Stuart worked at a national level across the industry and with central government. He also regularly presented at Westminster on nuclear supply chain issues.

Stuart will look after a number of Servelec’s key accounts in the nuclear industry, with a specific focus on decommissioning projects.

Other recent appointments include Richard Ward, who joins as a Site Manager, overseeing projects at Cottam and West Burton power stations. Richard is an APMP qualified manager, having previously worked for Capula and Scottish Power.

The appointments are in line with the business’s growth strategy in the industry, and follow the strengthening of the senior management team to provide greater focus on Power & Nuclear (Warrington and Glasgow) and Oil & Gas (Sheffield and Aberdeen) earlier in the year.
